Wild Basin (RMNP): June 28, 2010

It was a beautiful day for a hike, lots of hikers and as Randy insisted on saying to numerous passers-by, "We even left a little scenery for you to enjoy".

I know, I used to have this down, but please remind me again, who's the "playboy"?
Ouzel Falls:

It's a beautiful old tree left from a long ago mountain fire ...

... but you gotta wonder what's happening in the bushes at the bottom!

RMNP - East Inlet Trail: June 18-21

Talking to Ranger Harry, or was it Steve?
This reminded us of Jagat's "4000 steps" in Nepal. I like the ones in Nepal better.
This trail is full of exquisite water falls!

We saw several foxes in RMNP - they are all quite friendly.

Crossing one of the many bridges.
Here fishy, fishy.

Verna Lake.
Hiking above Verna Lake to Spirit Lake.

Spirit Lake.

Knocking over a dead tree to make camp a bit safer.

Camping at Lake Verna.

A friendly camp visitor.

Bob doing what Bob does best.
There were many beautiful flowers - this a "shooting star".
Another fox.
A fox making a mess of my pack. You can actually see the fox between the "x" in my walking sticks.
All good things must come to an end.

Beetle Kill!

There was water everywhere and the following is just a sampling of the waterfalls we encountered.
