Rawah Wilderness: July 30 - August 2, 2010

Day 1

Keeping Cool!!!

Day 2

Boy Scouts do a "Good Turn Daily".  Today's "turn" we took the old bridge that had been washed away by the heavy spring runoff and put it back in place.  The gals camped nearby were pleased as they were soon headed across the stream up to Blue Lake.
What's up Randy?
Where Blue Lake trail meets West Branch Trail.

If you can't tell by now we were treated to beautiful flowers and meadows all along the trail.
This view is taken from above Carey's Lake of the ridge above Blue Lake.  Can you find where we camped in the rain on our last night out?
Our camp site near Carey's Lake.

Fishing at "Cutthroat Lake"

Day 3

Packing up, leaving Carey Lake.

Randy finds a moose.
And another.
And ...
And...

And then the rains came...
Day 4

...but woke up to beautiful blue skies.

Maybe it's just gratitude for another successful hike, but I think you need to ask Bob.
